I have to say that I love the fourth of July, its tank tops, shorts, watermelon, cold drink days! For the first time in about 8 years I dont have a wedding booked. :( I am actually going to a BBQ and planning on relaxing. Yes! Now I gotta go buy some sparklers!
By next week I should have Christi and Dave's wedding story up on the blog. It was shot all in HD at a huge and amazing ranch/arena just outside Sisters,OR and it is fabulous and really beautiful too!
Wow, is really the only word that can come close to describing how amazing this wedding was! Held in a 50,000 sf barn. With mountains, sunsets, smiling happy people, horses, new born colts (sooo cute), hay rides, jumpy tents, face painting, great band. It was just plain fun fun fun! Editing as we sit here so trailer should be up here so for you all to see!
Is your event or project out of Central Oregon? No problem. We love to travel and are happy to work with you on affordable packaging to meet your needs so that we can be there for you. Wherever "there" is...
Where to begin? The wedding of Jess and Rich at the Great Hall, Sunriver, OR was just so amazing. I have always loved New Years Eve weddings and what a gorgeous couple in a gorgeous place with wonderful friends and family. It doesn't get much better!
Also, Team Homespun, consisting of my sister Bridget McGinn, Bob Sant, Lynn Rothan, my brother Patrick Mcginn and myself, participated in the International Documentary Challenge again this year. A 5 day documentary challenge. It was an amazing experience, full of creative energy or as Bob said "the creative vortex". Our film was about Mark Quon, a local musician and a song he wrote after the death of his friend of 35 years, Jim Witty. The piece turned out beautiful and we are all loving it.It will be showing on the big screen this April 30th at the Sisters Movie House at 7:30 along with a sampling of other shorts from the challenge. Come see it!
I found this valentine in my childhood memory book. Thought I would share it with all of you. I love it's vintage rustic look! The yogi opposes the evil in the wrong-doer, but not the wrong-doer. Love ya!
Remember that show Heart to Heart. Ugh. That isn't what this post is about. Thank goodness! It's about telling stories about love. I recently discovered this great article by a wonderful wedding filmmaker Laura Moses. Her article sums up the reason's I love shooting weddings so beautifully. I just have to share it with you.
